Congratulations on buying the worst flagship and universally panned Android phone by far in the market today. Why wouldn't you get a Nexus or a Google Play Edition phone running pure Android if you were switching from an iPhone? The $179 Moto G will give you a better Android experience than the $649 Galaxy S5 can ever can. Touchwiz is among the worst pieces of software to ship on a mobile phone ever.

These are 2 of my biggest complaints about my note 3 also. This and the fact that TouchWiz bogs it down to shite is the reason this will be my last Samsung.

This is the main reason for not switching. There just isn't a compelling enough upside to leave what's familiar and what works for me.
You'll get there though, the switch is going to be a little weird until you've learned android. Shouldn't take too long.
The android experts here will be in shortly to explain what you need to do next. Right after they bash you for getting the S5
