I just checked the App Store on apple TV and finally saw sling TV on it. I have been changing my mind on if I want sling TV or not but I'm glad it's on there now if I decide too. Now I don't have to buy a roku or Amazon box.

SlingTV also added some new channels. Hopefully Vue gets the hint and drops some news soon about ROKU/Apple TV / PC

Meh looks like Sling is just creating another $5 add on bucket for the new channels. I can still get twice the channels for the same price with Vue, plus the DVR.

As a Dish customer I am watching this very closely. I realize Dish owns Sling so I would expect the two services to begin merging, maybe a hybrid satellite/internet based service that provides redundancy and MOAR programming/4k.
We are seeing some of this happening now with on demand, Netflix and network channel streaming of programs currently with the new hopper. There will be a point in time where it will be wasteful to keep launching satellites when programming can be delivered over internet.

My sub with cox is up after this month. Really hope they open vue up to more androidtv devices (have 3 nexus players). Don't wanna get burned buying a FireTV for 99 just to get the vue app going.

Me too.
I've got an Androidtv and 3 Roku's.
I'm not going buy FireTV's just for Vue.
I'm waiting for Vue to get with the program and support other devices, and i'm waiting for Sling to get with the program and let you have more than 1 stream with the ESPN package.

If you buy 3 Fire TVs and $30 Vue for a year, thats $660.
A $60 Cable sub is $720 a year right off the bat\
My line of thinking is, you won't save much that first year, but the rewards will be huge after the first year

I don't have cable.
I have slingtv.
And i don't like the Firetv's UI.
I'm not buying devices to replace the ones i just bought just so i can get Vue instead of Sling.
I'm just going to use the Fox Beta multi stream slingtv and use my MIL login for WatchESPN.
I still have NickJr and now that Netflix has a bunch of Disney shows, i don't need DisneyJr or DisneyXD for the kids, even though you can still watch a few shows on their apps for free. Netflix is more than enough for the kids, and with all the movies we have that i put on Plex, the kids aren't my concern anymore.
