No decent streams at all. I can pull up both cartoon hd and showbox on my Android and cast any show in glorious 1080p zero problems to my fire tv. It's also way faster..like 3 clicks.

That is all. Why did I install Kodi when these apps are so much better?

How do these services work, anyway? Who hosts the media? I am seriously that ignorant on this subject.

From the TVaddons forum

quote:

No the issue was that Google nuked a bunch of videos and accounts yesterday, killing a ton of sources... As the providers re-upload and re-link the sources will return... Clear your providers inside the Tools section of Exodus and try again, as the sources are restored Exodus will 'magically' work again but it's going to take a bit for the providers to restore all the content...

Meanwhile... As if by magic.. Cartoon HD and showbox continue to have 1080p movies and TV shows and work flawlessly like they always have.

It's cause all the stupid fricks out there are spreading the goodness of Kodi to people that should never have it. It's getting too popular, so the major players are going to start gunning for the sources more. Same will happen to your precious apps if they get popular.

My Grandma was asking about getting a Kodi box because my dickweed cousin's fiancé brought his over for her to watch.

It's only a matter of time before we are at the mercy of the greedy cable companies offering us "Streaming Packages" for cheaper prices, but with shitier content.

That's already happening with Sling/DTVNow/PSVue. What Kodi needs to disrupt before it goes the way of Napster isn't Cable TV but movie rentals. It is ridiculous that I can rent a Blue Ray from RedBox for $1.50 but it costs $5 for an online rental that's not even HD.

I have never found any Kodi apps to have good quality streams.

Kodi just ruined XBMC.

well like i said. the miracle that is localcast allows me to cast movies from my phone to the fire TV so its not a total waste purchasing that device.

very disappointing to try to view probably 12 different streams with ZERO working (and i spent at least 30-40 minutes jumping through all the hoops) only to click twice on my phone (i think) and any of those 12 immediately starts playing without a hint of buffering in glorious 1080p.

RIP KODI. the man has won.

From what I've heard Real Debrid sources are usually really good. Although last night I had a few issues. I'm going to continue testing it and if it's solid then $3/month is a small price to pay.

MorePower has some legit streams, in 5.1 sound, too.

I've pushed real Debrid here a bit but I've given up on it. Most Debrid servers are overseas and your ISPs here in the states throttle them at peak times. Ours got progressively worse over 4-5 months and then became unusable.

Last night my streams had cached enough to not stop and buffer but for some reason the video looked like it was in slow motion.
