Does youtube deliberately mess with albums that people put together?

Noticed today that a couple of hour+ compilations that I used to listen too are all jacked up. They would play at varying speeds... like back in the day when you had a turntable and you could put your finger on the album to slow it down and speed it up.

BTW, for you Millennials, this is how we discovered the backwards Satan lyrics in all the Zeppelin stuff. Ain't no fun doing that with an mp3.

BTW, why would youtube do this you ask? Well, I did too, and the only thing I can come up with is that if you do the youtube playlist where all the individual songs play out, they can sneak an ad in between each song, whereas they don't get that if you listen to the hour and a half long compilation.

It's the opposite. If you upload a song that's copyrighted, youtube can detect it and block it. So people modify the songs slightly to try to evade the youtube content filter.

Same with TV show and movie clips. Sometimes people put borders around the video or mirror-image the video to get around the filter.
