Morning. I have a ring floodlight camera on one corner of my house by the garage and a regular motion/floodlight on the other.

Is there anyway to "daisychain" them together so the regular floodlight turns on when the ring detects motion?

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Do you have an alexa device in your house? If you could connect standard floodlight to a smart floodlight (something like this), then you could then create an alexa routine(s) where motion on the ring flood light would trigger the other one to come on. Depending on how your flood light is set up, you might also be able to install a smart light switch and have to trigger it to come on. There are a couple of downsides to doing it that second way such as the flood light not being motion activated (you might be able to have the switch cycle (off then on) and if it's wired correctly, it might work that way. However, I don't think there would be no real way to make it trigger the ring floodlights.

I use this type of functionality to turn on a smart light bulb in lamp by the front door if our ring doorbell detects motion after a certain time at night (9:30 pm). It works very well. (As a side note, if it is triggered during the night, I have that light bulb stay on at 1% brightness to let me know the next day that there was a motion event on the doorbell)
