Who has the new Windows phone? Anything worth switching over from Verizon?

From what I hear, Cortana is incredible and blows Siri away. But the only Verizon phone with the latest Windows Phone release is the HTC One M8 (or something like that). The other phones will get it as an upgrade but it hasn't happened yet.

PS. I'm sure Apple will upgrade Siri before long. While they are way ahead of the game in phones in terms of the cool factor and apps, they've been playing catch-up for a few years now.

Having had Siri for three years now, you want to recheck who's playing catch up?

I don't know anyone that actually uses these types of functions.

Yep, it is nothing more than a marketing gimmick.

Good point. You're right. But as others have said, Siri is pretty much useless so I guess I didn't think of it in that way.

I have an iPhone 5s for work and a Windows 8.1 phone for personal use. I actually use both Cortana and Siri a good bit. I would say Cortana is better. However, the iPhone speech to text it's MUCH better than windows. If I were to have to choose between the 2, I would pick the windows phone. But I am not a heavy app user, which is the biggest knock on Windows phone.

I mean I wouldn't call it useless. I use it for directions, the time if I'm running, to set reminders, to set the calendar, send texts or emails. Not to say you couldn't do those things on your own, but it's pretty convenient to just say a command and it's done.

I use it in the car quite a bit. Start apps, text etc.

I use Cortana a lot, especially when I'm driving.
