I've posted a few threads about it the last two months.

My new 6s was just replaced at Apple Store to make sure it wasnt a dud....well, here I am at 75% after taking it off the charger at 6am at 100% and it's only 9:25am.

Am I crazy or does this sound normal? I deleted a ton of apps, and I literally dont use my phone but maybe a total of 15 minutes while at work all day.

I would say it drains about 10% every hour just sitting in my pocket.

TIA

I'm sure you have but have you checked what's using location services? I forget to turn waze off from time to time and it drains my battery like you wouldn't believe.

I'll have to try to find it but I thought I saw an app that gives you usage data. I may have been dreaming but I thought I saw one that told a user what apps or services were using the most at any given time.

So you have to switch location services for Waze to "Never" and turn it on in your settings every time you use it? That could get annoying as I use Waze quite a bit.

Have apple maps gotten any better? Pretty much useless over the years. Waze is very good.

No I have waze set to only use location services or data to when I'm using the app. Also have this for my weather apps and others too. That way my phone isn't constantly using data while I'm not using the phone. I just have to remember to close the app when I'm not using it.

Settings, battery, and look at the usage. It will tell you what's using the battery the most.

I have a 6 plus and pulled it off the charger at 6:30 am and it's now 10:00 AM and I'm at 69% battery

Thats about where I am...but my phone usage is very minimal...I dont think they should drain this fast in your pocket.

just closing the apps turns them off for using location and data? I dont know if thats accurate with my services.

If you are in poor cell service areas it will drain your phone quickly

ETA: This is the only reason I went with the 6s plus over the 6s. I'd prefer the size of the 6s but only having to charge my phone every other day was worth the bigger phone to me.

This is noticeable since I switched from AT&T to Verizon...I'm pretty pissed about Verizon's service in nola so far....I feel like they lied to me.

I was researching blackberry last night reminiscing of the old days of charging your phone every three days and having a phone that worked quickly and never froze up.

definitely odd coach D.

deleting apps doesn't have any bearing on battery life, but there may be 1 or 2 rogue apps. Go to Settings>Battery and tap the clock to see what is running in the background and eating most of your battery.

it counts the last 24 hours, not time since last full charge

If you're on whatsapp a lot, or just getting the notifications, it can chew up battery.

How do I sign up for the beta?

I have whatsapp notifications turned off. This advanced phone should be able to run the apps I want and use. Very disappointed
