I received an email from Comcast yesterday saying that they had increased my download speed from 50 to 75. After cycling power on my modem I'm consistently getting 85+.

In 2 years with Comcast they've increased from 25 to 75. At this rate we should see 1 gig by 2054.

Tripling every 2 years would put you at 2 gig in 6 years. That wouldn't be too far off from Moore's Law, btw.

I've had 75 from them for over a year, but haven't seen any upgrades. I did notice that for a while I started getting 20-30 instead of what I was paying for, but after calling them and complaining for 3 days it got fixed and has been running fine since.

Only the bill does that.

They did this in Atlanta earlier this year

Went from 50 to 75 and now im getting about 90 over my Netgear AC router.

Will be getting Google Fiber by early next year though and cant wait. Tired of 300gb cap.
