As long as it is unlocked, you can bring it to ATT store or Best Buy and they will connect it for a fee right? If so anyone know about how much they charge?

Yes. Not sure what AT&T charges.
I do know that T-MOBILE and Sprint will credit back activation fees if you ask the right person.

if unlocked you should just be able to throw the sim card in it and be on your way. I don't remember the last time i've needed to be in a store to make a phone work.
