BR Internet options other than cox

Currently have a "discount" and am paying $56.99 for cox preferred. That discount goes away next month and my bill will go up to the regular price of $65 (or whatever it is now). I will call like I always do and threaten to cancel to get another discount, but this time I actually want to be prepared to cancel if they don't give me a good enough deal.
I am just fed up with the service. My internet was going out several times a day. A tech came by and did some work, but it still goes out every other day or so. And they want to charge $60 for another tech visit.
Anyway, I'm in south BR. Uverse isn't available in my area. I have Dish for TV. Anyone have experience with DishNet? Are there any other internet options?

I know Eatel is starting to expand into BR, not sure what areas or if they're doing residential yet.

Any satellite internet is terrible because of the transmission delays to the satellite. If U-Verse is not in your area you're pretty much stuck with Cox.

It's 50mbps not 100. I have my own modem and router. Maybe they are shite. Idk.

What kind of download speeds are you getting? You could have an outdated modem. I have cox preferred - supposed to be getting 50 mbs but am only pulling 23. Checked my modem and its a DOCSIS 2.0, apparently Cox is DOCSIS 3.0. My internet never goes out, but it will lose connection and reconnect within a few seconds sometimes.
