Ingredients:

(1) Google Pixel XL
(1) Microsoft Surface Pro 4 (i7, 16 GB RAM, 512 GB HD)
(1) Windows 10 PRO

I have established a Bluetooth connection between these two devices. My phone recognizes my computer and my computer recognizes my phone. I can transfer files between the two.

Here's my question. How can I stream music from my phone to my computer? I have the Bluetooth connection enabled and both devices are "connected."

What am I missing here?

Edited to add ...

I'm trying to stream using BT from Pandora and Spotify.

In the Pandora app, I have the option to "cast" to my Google Home.

In the Spotify app, I have the following options, "Listening on This Tablet (which I am not able to, so it thinks it is connecting through BT), "cast" to Google Home or my PS4.

These options are great (i.e., casting), however I just want a simple BT connection for music only to my computer.

One way to get around this is to use the ear phone plug from my phone and connect a cable to it ... and the other to my computer speakers input.

Not sure how it is in Windows 10, but in 7 you:

• Establish BT connection
• Right-click the BT icon in system tray and choose "Show Bluetooth Devices"
• Right-click your phone and pick "Bluetooth Operations"
• Under the Audio/Video section of your device should be the link/option to play music.

After that there should be a little music control panel that shows up on the bottom bar by the system tray. If it doesn't, right click on the bar and select it from the "Toolbars" menu.

Unfortunately, no such thing in Windows 10 as far as I can tell.
