I think the 4GB RAM / 128GB storage model for $600 would be a bit more future proof. Any idea if Microsoft might bundle the type cover keyboard for free with the tablet during back to school sale?

It would be nice if they did.

I am holding out for the Pro 4 which will hopefully release at the same time Windows 10 releases.

It better. I'm going to be super pissed if they don't have all of their flagship devices ready to drop as soon as 10 is gold.

Can you summarize the review overall?

I'm interested in the Surface and Surface Pro. I'd basically be looking for something for notes, on the go doc writing/editing, and general tablet duties.

Currently have a Nexus 9 and an iPad but neither gets a ton of use for work.

Surface 3 does have a 14nm atom processor on it which is actually a breakthrough in mosfet size for consumer production (all the i-series are 22nm), very very efficient processor
