Best printer/scanner for home use with laptop?

I need a printer for my house to use with a MacBook. I assume all or most have wireless capabilities now? Would like scanning capabilities as well. It won’t be any sort of heavy use, mainly school forms, labels, etc. Any and all recs are welcome?

I like my Brother MFC-9340, all in one unit. It's a laser, and is very light on toner use. I have had it for several years now, and so far no issues. Being mine is several years old they may have a different model number now, and may have some additional features, but mine has all the features you've specified in the OP.

Do you need color? That will make laser more expensive.
