But the new one addresses those issues. Here’s the deal, and, as normal, it’s a little confusing: The first unlimited line is $90 per month, two lines are $145 per month, and then each additional line is an extra $20 per month. AT&T wireless customers who also subscribe to an AT&T video product (either DirecTV, DirecTV Now, or U-Verse TV) qualify for a $25 monthly bill credit on their DirecTV or U-Verse bill. 10GB PER LINE OF LTE TETHERING The plan includes 10GB per line of tethering (slowed to a paltry 128Kbps after it’s exhausted) and, as before, after 22GB per line of data usage, AT&T may slow the data connection on that line if a particular tower is congested. Other devices, including tablets, mobile hotspots, and cars with Wi-Fi hotspots are $20 per month, while LTE-connected watches are $10 per month. Unlimited users are not required to use the throttled Stream Saver service that limits video streams to 480p. There’s also another, more lightweight plan, called Unlimited Choice that offers lower prices with lower speeds. Video is limited to 480p or 1.5Mbps, and overall data connections are maxed out at 3Mbps. Pricing starts at $60 per month for one line and $155 per month for four lines, with no discount for AT&T video subscribers.

I pay for non-unlimited data and unlimited talk and text with rollover for three lines. My wife & I along with my mother. Then add to that two data lines for two iOS tablets that are never really utilized outside of WiFi at home.

My monthly bill is $265. AT&T laid the screws to me two years ago on a convoluted sales pitch in one of their corporate stores. This looks like it could help out.

However...Is this tied to NEXT or updating devices, etc? Or is this plan device agnostic I wonder?

Important to note:

DIRECTV NOW (excludes Go Big $35/mo. plan)

This is the introductory plan that they offered in December. Additionally, the $90/mo for single line and $145/mo for 2 lines requires enrollment in Autopay and paperless billing (not really big deals IMO).

This looks very similar to the plan I have with Verizon for 4 lines of unlimited. I guess I wasn't the only one not willing to pay over $300/month for the 40GB data plan with tethering they were offering last year when I left ATT.

Do you still have to pay the additional $30 or so a month just to have a smart phone?

The unlimited choice is an interesting option. Will you be able to stream HD as long as you are below the 22 GB cap?

So it's actually $105 plus tax for 1 phone?

I picked the Galaxy S7 on the Next Plan for example.

From the AT&T site:
quote:

1 Single line pricing includes monthly plan charge (AT&T Unlimited Choice of $40/mo. or AT&T Unlimited Plus of $75/mo.) + access charge for one device ($20/mo. for all devices except connected wearables which are $10/mo.).
2 Multi line pricing includes monthly plan charge (AT&T Unlimited Choice of $75/mo. or AT&T Unlimited Plus of $105/mo.) + access charge for two device ($20/mo. for all devices except connected wearables which are $10/mo.).

I saw that too, but it was still showing $40 access charge when I was running through the post above yours. Not sure why.

Because I don't think you can pick the new plans yet. The site says "Coming Soon" and the plans are called "AT&T Unlimited Plus" and "AT&T Unlimited Choice". I think what you selected is the Unlimited Data plan they previously had unveiled.

Are people just so nostalgic for those old *actual* unlimited plans that they'll just fall for this stupid shite? I've got a 30GB plan with better prices, naturally it doesn't exist anymore.
