My 2 year contract with AT&T is over, I pay $150/month for 2 lines, one unlimited data and one 3Gb, my company pays $100, so my cost is $50/month.

I called to fuss about the costs of new phones, and they offered me the Samsung S6 Edge plus for $99/phone, with the regular price at $299/phone, with new 2 year contract.

Good deal? I want to go to a store and put the phone in my hand, but can upgrade both phones for $200 with 2 year commitment. AT&T is the best carrier in my area and I have no service issues with them.

The Edge doesnt really add much to the S6. Go to a third party website like Best Buy. You can get the regular S6, which has the same guts, for $1 a piece. Or the Note 5 for the price of your S6 Edge deal.

That's AT&T, and Verizon both.

It seems k ke it would be easier to break. When you put a case on it to protect breakage, suddenly you have a normal S6.

That edge screen crap is just a gimmick. Also, there are no good options out there for "full protection" if you're prone to dropping or bumping it on things. A buddy got the Note Edge and his screen was shattered within a week.

As others stated,go to best buy and get the standard S6 or Note5 for their cheap price and get the $250 gift card in return...

Doesn't seem to be for AT&T, only Sprint/Verizon.

Just checked myself... Only the Note5 on AT&T is available on that promotion.

Why are you stuck on the S6 Edge? It's a gimmick phone with a fragile screen.

I have a note 4 now, could upgrade to the 5. I only see a $250 gift card if doing the Next plan, and I don't want to do that, and just keep my 2 year contract.

Why? Unless you still have unlimited data and you want to keep it

I do have unlimited, and even though I'm not a data hog, I want to hang on to it as long as I can.

You give up a couple of things with a Note 5:

1. No IR Blaster

2. No Micro SD memory card slot.
