Apparently, NBC is the only hold out for Apple's streaming service.

NBC is owned by Comcast.
This is why they are holding out.
Even if you don't like Apple, this is important.
Apple can break this open like no other company can.

Only thing I really keep up with on NBC anymore is Sunday Night Football. Their shows suck now

I agree completely but everyone needs Apple to come out on top here whether they like Apple or not. If Apple can use their resources to break the providers we all win and we might all get what we want.

Don't they broadcast that online now for free? I seem to remember them advertising that while watching the games.

Can get NBC over the air. its the cable channels that are important imo.

There is currently no AMC app on Apple TV so that is worrisome. I'm not worried about that. I have the bare bones Direct TV package and of course those turds have AMC in the second tier so I don't have it. Rainierland puts up high quality streams of the big AMC shows the night of broadcast so I just watch them there.
