Anyone know anything about getting the phone company to run dsl to new location?

I live out in the sticks. No cable, no dsl (there is an ancient phone line run to the house). However, ATT did run a fiberoptic line to a cell tower near my house about a year ago. This cable runs next to the main highway, which is .5 miles from my house. Is there any way (no matter the cost), that they would run a line for internet service to my house .5 miles away? TIA

Yes, they will install a fiber circuit for you. You may have to pay build out costs and the service will run 500-800 a month. Where do you live?

It's a commercial grade connection. And I guess because they set the price.
