Just bought the 3000 model and was wondering if you like it, how hard it is to install, etc. Considering returning it for something else.

Setup was pretty easy from what I remember and the coverage has been great. WiFi went from 60 Mbps near the router upstairs to the full 75 Mbps that I was paying for, and downstairs near my main TV it went from 10 Mbps on my old router to 65-75. I also no longer have issues when I run my microwave. My old router wasn't that old and it was even AC, but the Orbi addressed all the WiFi issues I was having.

The only problem I had was with some smart plugs that only operate at 2.4 GHz I had to jump through a few hoops to get them connected.

I believe I have the RBK 23 which is 3 2000 model routers/satellites. What is or isn't happening that you're thinking of returning it?

Anyone who would pay 300 (+) for a wireless router is a nut job.. just saying.. don't buy into that crap. WAY cheaper options out there that you would get just as much out of or not notice any difference with..

You can get them for less than that if your able to wait around for a deal.

I didn't want to pay twice as much as a normal router for a WiFi solution, but I had tried other range extending options unsuccessfully and my TV was starting to buffer regularly. Mesh networking was the next option and despite your ASSumptions to the contrary, I have noticed a big difference.

I have it. We have no cell signal in house (University club) and needed a solid WiFi network for WiFi’ calling. Bought the one with 4 satellites to cover main level and upstairs and it works well. Signal won’t work all the way out to garage/ workshop/pool area but the core of the house is solid.

I’ve had the Orbi RBK50 (which covers up to 5,000 sq ft) since March of 2017. I’ve never had a problem with mine, and setup took about 10 mins (from pulling out of the box to enjoying strong WiFi)

Havent tried to install it yet, and am pretty pathetic with technology.

I have an older Netgear R6300 and it is going out.

I have 3300 SF house with terrible internet locally, asked for more power... not available.

The so called booster I purchased is crap. figured the mesh system would help a bunch. the 249.00 cost was a bit to swallow. May keep it now. thanks
