I have an LG3, which after numerous Samsung devices and leaving Crapple around 2007, has been my favorite device so far. Will there be any major jumps this year or should I keep this one for another year and wait it out? AT&T Service FWIW.

Well Samsung already has them, but I expect fingerprint sensors to really take off on the Android side this year. The new Nexus should have one in October or so, and I imagine most phones after that will have one.

Honestly, I think I'd just hang on to the G3. The pace of new developments is slowing down for smartphones. Wait it out until May or so, and you'll have the choice of all the new fall phones plus a new Galaxy device and probably LG device.

My rooted G3 is still a man beast. The only reason I'd consider upgrading this fall is for that nexus 5 2015 and the off contract price point. Plus just to have something new that is on par or slightly better than my G3.

I saw this leaked rumor about the new Snapdragon 820 processor... LINK
35% faster than the 810, 40% better GPU performance and 30% power improvement.

Not sure what the first phone to have this will be.

ETA: What's up with the links? Haven't had an issue for years and the last two times I've tried posting links, it's not working properly.

Looks like it still works.

Weird. Now that I think about it, both times the links were messed up, I was originally posting from my phone. Turns out it wasn't copying the https:// part from my mobile browser and the link breaks if you don't include that.
