Do you need additional A/V ins and outs or just HDMI? Do you want to drive a second zone?

Audio ins and outs means do you want to hook up any analog or digital devices for music only? The extra video ins and outs are useful as some devices can also display video for showing things like playlists, etc.

The bottom line is what do you want to use the receiver for? Just TV and movie switching/playback or more? Newer receivers have less robust jack packs on the back than in the past so you really need to look at connectivity options.

My last two a/v receivers were $650 on sale for $400 at BestBuy.

If you are not in a hurry, check their website over the next month. I think the sales were listed on Sunday.

You have to buy immediately because these units sell out fast. Mine were available in-store.

I suggest the extended warranty. The first unit broke just before the extended warranty expired and they paid me the original $400 purchase price, which I used to buy a different unit on sale for $400.
