2009 MacBook Pro screen freezing --Am I screwed or fixable?

Never had an issue with it until now. Froze once this weekend, and now every time I restart I only get ~20 minutes before it happens again.

logic board. gonna cost $500 to replace. better off buying a new one. bring it to the genius bar, and they can confirm this.
