I hope we make it out of pool play and find a way to win one in the put out round and make it to the round of 8.

Round of 16. Can't see us getting to the quarters. Too much talent.

Beat England, or at least make them sweat profusely. Nothing more.

Certainly hope the team doesn't feel that way...

Of course they don't, and I concur.

If the team blows it against England, I only hope they can rebound and win the next two. So much emphasis has been put on the England game, but I hope the team hasn't had that mentality.

not if we are #1 out of our group.

I am going to be surprised and delighted if we dont lose to both England and Slovenia, 1-0.

If Slovenia keeps us off the scoreboard, we're going to see a lot of complaining about Bob Ball.

Am I the only one who thinks we can win our group? This team can beat England. England supporters are as guilty of thinking their team is better than they are, as US supporters are of thinking their team is worse than it actually is.

Turkey is a very talented squad, and we were able to come from 1-0 behind to win in the second half. That is HUGE, and this team will gather a ton of confidence from that. They also got to play with a lead and try to protect it against Australia another quality side that did qualify for the finals. We let them back in it, but put the game out of reach with a late goal from Gomez.

To learn from these situations and also come away with results is vitally important. The Yanks are going to be hungry, have fresh lessons on their mind, and are coming off of two straight wins. Confidence will be high, and I think we win this game 2-1 and subsequently our group.

You aren't the only one who thinks that. I don't think we'll win our group, but we certainly can.

This team can make the semi-finals, especially if we win our group.

Man, I may be wrong, and I hope I am, but Turkey wasn't playing with a full deck. Apart from that, they are Persians, slack, lazy, don't give a shite, if the marbles aren't there. They weren't.

Minimum expectations are round of 16. Quarterfinals would be great. Semi-Finals would be dream run!

I'd really be fine with anything, as long as we win the tournament, Howard or Donovan wins golden ball, Dempsey wins golden shoe, and Altidore wins best young player. Bonus if we also win the fair play and most exciting team awards.
