Neymar not moving to Chelsea this early in his career would probably be the best move. It's not as if Roman has a lot of patience with young players.

He stuck with Malouda through a couple of bad seasons and he is now growing into one of the better left side attacking players in the world. Kalou, despite years of mediocrity at best, is still getting plenty of run.

Malouda was 27 when he moved to Chelsea and was already a seasoned international. He was streaky in his first couple of seasons, but it was quite obvious why he was bought.

Likewise, Kalou was 21 when he went to Chelsea. His biggest issue has been finding a position, as he's not strong enough to play with his back towards goal.

On the otherside, there have been plenty of players that have been shipped off quite quickly. Scott Parker, Steve Sidwell, a host of others I'm forgetting (Not that I rate Parker or Sidwell very highly). I think it was a gigantic mistake for Chelsea to let Franco Di Santo go so easily. Strikers of his size and technique don't come around very often, and they typically develop much later than smaller players because they have their are more useful playing with their back toward goal most of the time.

Neymar is 18, skinny, with loads of technique and pace. He'll be more ready to move to Europe at 21 or 22. Ancelotti is a good coach to develop him, though, if he stays around that long. Neymar's youth is what separates him from the other players you mentioned. The growth from 18 to 21 is significant. You can destroy a player quite easily at that age. If Neymar is as good in two years as he is now, then paying so much for him is worth it.

Then you wonder why he is an Auburn fan. It is this notion that denounces Alabama's titles. Say we don't have 12 we have 8. Whatever, history is what it is.

You don't always choose your team, it chooses you. I would never stoop so low as to root for a corrupt, shite institution with a derelict fanbase just because they won a few made up football championships before I was even born.

You don't think there is a correlation between both?

I don't like USC, I don't like Michigan, I don't like ND. However, I respect what those teams have done for college football. I don't denounce them as losers, shite institutions, or say their tradition isn't important because it is.

Chelsea won by a single point last year.

Drogba's goal against United was offsides(like most of his goal ops in my opinion) to give them the victory(and the League).

Offsides?

Had Rooney not been hurt things would have been different.

"frick off, Chelsea F.C., you ain't got no history, 5 European cups and 18 leagues, thats what we call history" - Liverpool cheer

History is everything in all sports, you idiot.

Neymar not going to Chelsea saved his career overall for both future club and country(might vary well win the World Cup 2014 in Brazil because of this).

Both not Chelsea products. Name one Chelsea academy player on their team not from West Ham or Lyon(etc).

Another mark of a great club.

I don't know what bama used to be like before Bear Bryant but since him their success has brought out a legion of trash that you can not turn a blind eye to and really puts a stain on the reputation of the university. However, this is a topic for the SEC rant.

No team had more injuries than Chelsea last year. Just because United were a one man team that is no excuse. Yes, Drogba was offsides, but Macheda's goal was a handball so if we are only counting legit goals we still win 1-0. I'm glad they have those 18 league trophies from 20 plus years ago I'm sure it helped them cope with their 7th place finish last year and they'll need it even more this year it seems.

Arsenal begs to differ. We had something like 7 fractures last year, not counting all the torn ligaments and muscle pulls that we seemed to get every week.

Ashley Cole missed 3 months, Boswinga missed the entire year, Alex missed tons of time, Essien didn't play from December on, Drogba, Kalou, Mikel missed 6 weeks for the ACN, Mikel also missed the last month, Ivanovic missed almost two months, Carvalho was rarely fully fit, Cech was out a couple of times, Joe Cole wasn't healthy the first half of the season. If we didn't have the most it had to be close.

Drogba, Kalou, and Mikel missing 6 weeks for the ACN is hardly an injury, nor is it something limited to only Chelsea.

Last year we had seven fractures (a number mentioned by our injury staff). You only mentioned 8 players. Do you realize how many fractures most teams have in a regular year? That's not to mention all the injury problems with our strikers, forcing us to play Arshavin as a lone striker for a series of games. We also missed Gallas for the last third of the season, Walcott, Bendtner, Denilson, Rosicky, along with Song and Eboue for six weeks due to the ACN. Chelsea also had 7 players that had at least 30 appearances in the PL. Arsenal had 3. If that isn't the most telling stat, then I don't know what to tell you.
