Good thing United won't be playing any big games this year where he has to show up.

i wouldn't go that far. they will need someone to save them when they square off against Midtjylland again in the europa league.

Really sweet sign. Awesome idea. Zlatan in the Premier League should be fun to watch.

the sign was not their idea, it's a play off of the tevez sign from 09.

it really is some solid trolling by united, especially given the location of the sign.

according to SCH, the zlatan sign is right above a city store.

The premise of the Zlatan sign vs the Carlito sign are not the same thing. United's angle was to play off of Zlatan's massive ego with the "Welcome to Zlatan" thing. I thought it was clever. And cool. All City did was put up a sign for Tevez that just says welcome to Manchester. Teams do this all the time for new players.

ETA Just remembered Tevez went straight to City from United in 09. That explains the City sign. I get it. My bad.

The tevez sign also plays off the City fans shtick about OT not being in Manchester.

In Manchester but in the Trafford area of Manchester. Maybe an 8 min metro ride from the city center.
