Not necessarily but somewhat. African teams over perform at youth tournaments although the traditional powers tend to be competent. A lot has to do with how developed the players are for their age.

Yet still complete losers. I don't know a single Uruguayan, thank God, but after watching all of their soccer teams every year at every level I hope nothing but the worst for all of them*. A truly disgusting people.

*Diego Forlan the lone exception.

They have to play with a chip on their shoulder. They have 3 million people and live between Argentina and Brazil.

it never ceases to amaze me that a country of 3 million producers so many quality players. i read somewhere that they export nearly as many players as brazil and argentina which is hard to fathom.

No doubt bruh. It's the mentality of their people. Think about this, the biggest clubs historically are Penarol (They won a Copa Lib in the 90's)and Nacional. But, if you look at who produces the talent from the academies (not sure if they have a youth national academy at a really young age or not), it's spread throughout the nation (Defensor, River Plate (not that one), Torque, Danubio, etc.

Is it? They consistently disgrace the game with their bullshite at every level. Not sure how any soccer fan wouldn't fully agree. These figs are the embodiment of one of the primary reasons the game can't fully take off in the states

Just seems oddly targeted at a country that doesn’t seem to do it any more than other SA or Central American countries imo. Feels like Suarez lives rent free in your head (not that he’s not a total dirtbag).
