These guys watch Ronaldo and think they are him. They aren't. Just hit the ball. It's a penalty, when you do it right, it cannot be saved

Rubin cost us with That Soft kick, the other guys aren't penalty guys.

Good game, seems those two suspensions and two injuries cost us a little mojo.

Eh, it was a good run. Probably should've gone farther, but ultimately nothing to really gripe about. We have some super talented youngsters in Zelalem, Hyndman, Rubin, Arriola, Tall, and CCV. Future is bright.

Can't ask for more from Zach. I agree, our misses were woeful.

A promising and frustrating tournament for the Americans. We have a few stars out there, but the squad fell into the same issues of other U.S. teams.

I mean we had to shift our whole entire attack. We lost both our secondary strikers to go next to Rubin. Sucks

Injuries didn't help. Lost a lot of our attacking options

I know, it was more of a statement on the whole tournament. They were kinda behind the 8 ball tonight.

Yeah, shame he missed the penalty. I'm sure he'll take a lot of heat for it, but that game doesn't go to penalties (or even extra time) without him. He was superb for 120 minutes.

Something tells me that loss will build alot of character within these guys and push them to the next level especially Steffen. We saw a glimpse of greatness. This guy will be our next great goalkeeper book it.

I can just hear it.

"And Steffen makes another great save! He's looking like Tim Howard vs Belgium!"

Just completed my recorded viewing of the match.

Just knew it wasnt going to go well when Rubin missed that first PK.

Its really ok when you parse this them throughout the whole tourney. We really do have some solid players moving up the ranks.

My biggest take away and positive was the play of Cameron Carter-Vickers and Matt Miazka. Solid decision making all tournament. CCV is ready to contribute soon. Miazka needs to learn to stay on his feet and fill out physically but its refreshing to see some really good center halves moving up the ranks outside the usual PR nonsense spewed by US Soccer leading into other WC qualifying cycles.

We will see. I think Jurgen needs to Cap CCV as soon as possible.

How about he plays some first team club football first at spurs or on loan somewhere. So far hes looked great vs other kids in club youth matches and internationally.

After Guzan and Hamid each finish five year runs.

I'm really looking forward to seeing him in 2025.
