I know it's early, but is it really ever too early to start discussing transfers?

Who do we think will be some of the big names moving this summer?

We had a number of big ones last summer including Falcao (What does United do with him?), James Rodriguez, Di Maria, Diego Costa, Alexis Sanchez, Cesc, Suarez, Kroos and David Luiz to name a few.

Does the board think Pogba, Strootman, Jese among many others, possibly leave their respected clubs this upcoming window?

Who do you want to see your club get?

As a Utd. fan I think we definitely drop Falcoa (given his agent doesn't screw us), then we pat RVP on the back and thank him for winning us a title, but its time he heads on.Then go after another Striker in his mid 20s.
We should also do to trade one or two of Evans, Smalling, or Jones and go after a big name CB.

Pogba

I'd also like an attacking central midfielder to replace Oscar. I'm tired of him floundering down the stretch every season.

A young RB to spell Ivanovic some/gain experience for the future.

A 2nd striking option that isn't like 37 years old. Not sure if Remy is the answer there.

Id love to see City get Pogba, but I don't see it happening at all. Chelsea wouldnt surprise me at all if that's where he ended up.

At RB is Chelsea not happy with what they've seen from Kalas? Or does he play LB?

His natural position is CB. Maybe he'll be ready to be the third guy behind Cahill and Zouma in a year or two when Terry is gone. Maybe partner with Zouma another year or two after that?

We don't have a great history of elevating our youth players into the first XI though so I'm always skeptical of what impact these guys will have.

I really want to see Juventus keep Pogba because I'm a bit nervous about what they'll be able to do with and extra €80+m in their transfer budget.

Due to that, I do think they would sell potentially sell him though.

Strootman: his injury really clouds things up but, before that, he wasn't going anywhere. Still expect he's back but Roma would certainly listen to a big offer if nervous about his injury. I guess I could see a club like ManU taking the gamble since he may well turn into the best midfielder in the game, period, if he can stay healthy.

Falcao (What does United do with him?)

Send him right back to Monaco. The beauty of a loan.

Strootman. A great CB. A great striker. Another RB because Valencia is getting up there in age, and United are probably going to sell Rafael.

For AS ROMA:

GK: I like Mattia Perin and Genoa has two Roma players on loan they want. However, he's so young and still pretty mistake prone so I'm worried the nutcases in Rome may make life untenable if he, say, blows a derby.

Handanovic
(or Sirigu if PSG make a move) would be my first choice of veterans that may available if they don't go with Perin (or another of the highly rate young Italian keepers since it also helps with quotas).

I think Roma needs to add an attacking midfielder since there will still be some question about Strootman's health (though he seems to be getting promising reports).
I'd like Garcia to have the option of moving Pjanic deeper and having another slick passing midfielder around the box against the provincial Serie A sides that cause us a lot of problems packing back on defense. Strootman provided this last season interchanging with Pjanic and he's been sorely missed.

I'm no scout but I'd like to them spend big for Roberto Firmino.

We'll buy a LB but I have little idea who's going to be available and there may be more shuffling at CB depending on how well Castan recovers from the brain surgery that saw him miss all this year.

Strootman is that good? I haven't even seen many of his games, I'm just curious here. I didn't realize he was that highly thought of.

Why can't he get a game for United this season. He's more of a true RB than Valencia. And now that they're going with a 4 man back line, it seems like he could maybe provide a spark for them. Sure, he's kind of a loose cannon out there some times, but he always full of energy. United could really use some of that right now.

Yeah, before his injury he was the player Roma and the Dutch NT were pretty much building their future around (particularly Holland as Van Gaal).

He was usually mentioned among the best handful of midfielders coming up but I think many were even surprised at how much he blossomed instead of needing adjusting to moving up from Eredivisie to Serie A.

Hard to compare as he's a true box to box that's both excellent defensively (Garcia nicknamed him "il lavatrice -- or "the washing machine" for cleaning up in midfield) but quite a smooth passer in the final third as well.

Really very talented all around but I think managers go so crazy for him as he's just so polished in his reading of the game.

For AS ROMA:

GK:

Was reading some Swansea news the other day and apparently yall are interested in Fabianski who is having a tremendous season.

As far as targets, Aleksandar Mitrovic from Anderlecht is at the top of the list with Gomis most likely being sold this summer.

Also the most curious thing will be what do we do with Michu? He has only played in 5 or so games for Napoli this season and will be returning to a team thin at striker.

For Newcastle the strongest rumors are for Andre Ayew and Jeremy Toulalan

For PSG, they are going to do whatever they can to get Pogba. Cavani will probably be sold. I know they want Neymar to replace him but I doubt that happens unless the tax situation with his original transfer to Barca is more serious than we know.

I'm still a fan of Rafael, as was SAF. I hate he can't even make the bench for some games when healthy. However, his positional awareness is, and has always been, poor. And LvG's philosophy relies heavily on positional awareness. So I get why he has been deemed not to fit in.

The Pogba rat race will be interesting this summer. I know United would love to splash the cash to get him back if we could. There is apparently strong in doing that, so we'll join the rest of the world in courting him.

I don't see United pulling the trigger on Falcao. The rumored 45M pound option is a lot of money for a player who hasn't produced this season amid doubts he will never fully recover from injury to hit his previous heights. I think United will be in for a right back, center back, striker (if, no Falcao), and midfielder (yeah, so everything) this summer. We'll also see a few more players move on (Rafael, Evans should make that list). The decision on Nani will be interesting, considering he seems to have found form for Sporting Lisbon.

Also, I'm still paranoid that RM will come in for DDG this summer. He's so damn good, I'd hate above anything else to lose him. We'd be in sixth or seventh in the table at this point without him.

Agreed with Rafael. He's the type of player that shows moments of thinking he could easily be a great player, then he will try and go through three defenders not track back on defense fast enough and give up a goal.

I'm one of the few Utd. fans that don't think we need a new midfielder. If need be we can drop Rooney to mid field (if he doesn't threaten to leave).
Blind, Di Maria, Mata, Fellini, Januzaj, Herrera, Young, Valencia (if need be), Phil Jones (if need be) is a pretty amazing mid field.

We need to drop Falcoa and RVP (while we can still get something for him) and go after one or two more strikers. Hopefully Wilson will see more PT next season.

It would be stupid to sell De Gea. I have no Idea why Valdev came in, but unless its Ronoldo or Messi any move we make won't be worth it in my book.

Gets at least another year, I think. Maybe goes with a buy-back, but he'd easily contribute if he wasn't coming back from a serious injury mid-season.
