I only saw the last 35 minutes from the game this morning, but Lamela and Wanyama both played really well in that time. Wanyama's steal in midfield set up Lamela's GOAL.
Edwards looks like the real deal. He's just so small he gets pushed off the ball easily.
I didn't see their goals live but from what I've read the youngsters we started in defense played sloppy and nervous but calmed down and played better in the second half.
Juve 1-0
Juve 2-0

In the 30 minutes I saw he looked good and didn't make any mistakes.
Stolen off reddit's post match thread:
-I was really impressed with CCV. He fricked up early on but looked like a solid CB by the end of it.
-CCV grew into the game. A bit shaky at times but all in all did well to keep Dybala, relatively, quiet.
-Young center halves had a nightmare to open the game, had some scary moments but tightened up. Their ability to deal with the high press is concerning, in the sense that they were completely unable to deal with it in the beginning, but I'd imagine they would cope a bit better if it's one partnered with a more experienced player. CCV looked the better half of the pairing IMO but Ball picked it up as the game went on.

I agree with all the commentary on the game i watched the whole thing. Lamela was the class of the match for Spurs

Though it looks like N'jie on loan to Marseille in exchange for Nkoudou sale
What should I expect from N'jie? He looked like he had a ton of potential at Lyon, but never caught on with the Spurs.
Is there reason to hope he'll be a contributor for a L1 team?

He was injured most of last season. We only saw him a few times. Mostly came on as a sub. He's very fast. That's about all I've got.

Clinton is a great dribbler, as you can see here.
In all seriousness, he has the kind of speed that makes defenders shite their pants. I wish we could have seen more of it.

I hope we hold on to Clinton. Want to see what he is really made of.

Hope no one was too attached to Grant Ward. He's heading to Ipswitch Town.

Well, we knew he was out the door....just wasn't sure where. I do hope we can grab 1 more CB in this window though, just to provide depth and bodies for League Cup and FA Cup matches so we don't run Toby and Jan ragged.

I'm just glad we got more than a bag of chips for him.

Sorry to disappoint.
Poch must like him some CCV.

Just a heads up. Today's match against Inter is at 10 am CST and will be shown on CBS Sports Network in the US. I don't know about any legal streaming options, however.

Alli draws the penalty and Kane converts!

That pen was a pretty weak call to be honest

Yeah, I thought Kane had a little more of a gripe a minute or so earlier but I'm not sure either should have been called.
Oh well.
Oh well.

Friendly or not, we looked damn good today.
From the first minute it all looked natural and comfortable. It's evident the level of chemistry this group has built the last few years.
Cannot wait for next Saturday.
