I'll hit you up closer to the actual trip because I want to make sure I'm not robbed/raped/murdered and I actually have a good time. May have to try to go to Rome for a day.

Cool. I've traveled around Italy a good bit but spent the majority of my time in and around Roma and Sardegna.

Will they think that I'm Jersey Italian if I ask for Kroger brand sparkling seltzer water?

I didn't know you were engaged, Hendo, congrats.

I went to Italy with my girlfriend last year, but we mainly hung out in Rome. I had a blast, it was easily the most visually stunning place I've ever been. I never got tired of just walking around looking at stuff.

Genova,'s medieval centre near the port is really cool but it's also pretty gritty as their port is famous for drug trade. There's reason people say it's the New Orleans of Europe in both the best and sketchiest ways

I went there for the US/Italy friendly in 2012. Our B&B was in the sketchy port area. It was, as you mentioned, super sketchy.

Florence is my favorite city in Europe. If I went back once a month it wouldn't be enough.

Also, frick Cinque Terre I almost died on that hike. Not really, but yeah I'm out of shape.
