Let's start with Fubo. I started a trial with them because Playstation Vue no longer has beIn. Anyone that did something similar will know that the Fubo was down the entire first half. I have to imagine this was a lot of people's first experience with Fubo. I am sure they have been around for a while, but I first heard about them with the Fubo Chavez commercials that just started airing. How damaging will this be to that company? I would imagine they would have made money on people just forgetting to cancel after the trial period. I cancelled as soon as the game ended because I was so pissed about having to watch in Spanish.

The second half I was able to watch on beIn. Can somebody please explain to me why cutaways to other games get a bigger box than the actual game I am trying to watch? It was infuriating. They would show a highlight from the Mexico game in a box that takes up 3/4 of the screen while the USA game was in a tiny box filling up the rest of the screen. It was terrible. Full disclosure, as I finish this rant, it's possible that I am thinking of the Universo broadcast with this issue.

Go90 had the game for free on tablets and phones, and I was able to stream it to my TV.

It shouldn't be on Bein anyway.
If we're trying to grow the sport in America the damn USMNT should be on an American channel.

Fubo did not even let me sign up. It wouldn't accept my password, even after I reset it. I just gave up and watched it on NBC Uni, only after the 1st goal had already been scored.

I'd settle for any channel I get, but USSF had nothing to do with this.

BeIn needs to up their national distribution. They are Arab owned so they bought the rights to La Liga, Serie A, Ligue 1, CONMEBOL, CAF, and CONCACAF, but there are big parts of the country they don't cover. Even if you do get it, they are on one of the highest tiers. It's bullshite.

Yeah. My provider puts them in the latin package. I'm not going to pay $15/month for a channel I'd barely watch.

I must have been very lucky, because I signed up for the 7 day free trial 5 min before the game and watched the entire game on Fubo.

Granted, I wish I couldn't watch the game...

I got the email this morning about an outage, but I didn't know what it was referring to.

Each individual country sells their home games to a bidder, right? Let's say T&T sold it to some second rate channel that most of Mexico doesn't get. Would they be in a similar situation to us with beIn, or would they have more pull to get it on a better channel since way more people watch soccer there?

Yeah, that was NBC Universo doing that. My guess is that since it's meant for a Spanish-speaking audience, the majority of them were from those other countries or had some sort of rooting interest in those matches.
