How would that team fair in this World Cup?

I know players would over lap but I guess my question is how's the competition of the World Cup compared to your best teams in club leagues?

I'd imagine you can accumulate a better team by paying them than off of citizenship. No?

Bayern from two years ago and Real from last year would have run away with this tournament.

That's what I figured. I'm watching these games and I can't help but think man some champions league teams would destroy Brazil, Argentina etc. was wondering if I was assessing it right or off my rocker

except for that chelsea team

i mean look at argentina

ugly soccer that has basically been "play back and feed messi"

well, barcelona has messi...and a dominant midfield led by xaviesta

bayern and the german national team have a lot of overlap. well add robben/ribery to the german national team...and a left back in Alaba...and martinez as a DM to replace khedira

The best Champions League teams would be favored.

This WC's Germany is essentially a Champions League team and could hang with Real, Bayern, Barca, etc - they play well together to the point they look like a club team.

The best club teams are better than these international teams all of the time.

That's because 6 of Germany's starters are from Bayern.

Yea I've got Germany winning 3-1. They are playing on a different level by far

Depends if Jogi gets his tactics right again. He hadn't gotten them right in a while but he hit it right on the head in the semi.

I'm just in awe with Germany and how well they keep position in tight spaces with multiple defenders around. It's truly a thing of beauty.

The fact that the Germans play team football really well says something too. Being half Bayern helps of course.

It's unrealistic to say that International teams can consistently have the same level of cohesion as a club team - just not possible. However, Spain in its prime could have won the Champions League some years (ie the year Chelsea won playing 10 behind the ball).

International football can produce a comparable product to Champions League from time to time.

This is a German team that's 10-15 years in the making. The German FA made huge changes to put an emphasis on developing talent, forcing certain standards on clubs for their youth setup. It worked.

Yeah, I forgot about them. A truly un-remarkable team.

They are to the CL, as Greece is to the 2004 Euros.
