Oh, I know. I had an NG for 3 days during my last tour in the hospital. Granted it was horribly necessary, but must uncomfortable AF thing ever.

Besides the blockage, how is the ileostomy? I feel bad for my patients that have them. They seem like a real pain. I hope you can get that thing reversed reasonably soon.

To be honest, this blockage was the first negative thing to go wrong. It's definitely an inconvenience but once I got the hang of changing out the apparatus it really hasn't been a big deal. Yeah, keeping it discrete under clothes is tough (thank goodness I haven't needed work clothes in a while), but you find tricks to adapt. If all stays on track, should get it reversed about 4 weeks after chemo is done, so some time before year is over. Then I have to re-learn how to not crap myself. That should be fun.

Just curious, but are you taking your temperature frequently? Especially since you're on chemo I would just try to stay on top of things and be very aware of changes with your body.

I'm pretty in tune with changes which is how I more or less self-diagnosed this pretty quickly. Don't take temperature frequently, but often enough any time I feel woozy have chills of any kind. Weigh myself regularly to ensure that isn't decreasing. What's funny is I actually seemed to surprise one or two of the newer residents at the hospital with some factoids. Guess I've read up on this stuff a bit too much.

No one knows their body better than the patient. And yeah it wouldn't surprise me if a very well educated patient knows more about their specific condition than a new doctor. Sounds like you're doing everything you need to be doing. I wish all of my patients cared so much about their health. Keep on keepin on

Gotta bump this back up to the first page. Great turnout for voters so far this year.

If only we had a time when people could nominate whoever they wanted to these awards.

Don't worry. Spurs are sure to win the "Spurs are the best team in the Premier Leauge, according to countless managers" award. Even they could not bottle that one.

At least Swagger won something this year guys. Give him a break.

MULTIPLE SOURCES tell me that he is a LOCK for best player not yet at a big club, though. He won't leave the Soccer Board Awards Show empty handed.
