I hope this turns attention to where it's needed but I feel like it won't.

Pep nailed it today when he called out every single party involved. FIFA, UEFA, and the FA are clutching their pearls but it's because they aren't in on the action. I wholeheartedly agree this is a bad idea for all the reasons most fans do, but let's not pretend for a second those organizations wouldn't do the same kind of bullshite if they could.

Never align those two in any conversation. Never. Juve is Juve.

But the influence of the Glazers can be seen most of all in the detail in the financial carve-up that had been planned. Telegraph Sport learned on Tuesday of a commitment on salary caps signed by all the clubs involved to bring the competition in line with US franchises like the NFL, where collective bargaining agreements take place with players and agents.

Nailed it

Also, Juve is doubling down
quote:

“Juventus knows intentions of some clubs to withdraw from the #SuperLeague, although the procedures have not been finalised”.

“Juventus - still convinced of the project - consider that now there are few opportunities to be realize the project”.

John W. Henry Apology

John W. Henry apologized via video.

Spirit of Shankly responded with a message saying "too little, too late" and expressed strongly their intent to"never let this happen again" and push for legislative change.

I’m really not confident he won’t try something like this again
Best for him to sell and buy an NBA team

This will ABSOLUTELY happen again....

It will be better packaged & presented, but it'll be the same concept.

An open letter from Joel Glazer to all Manchester United fans.
quote:

To all Manchester United supporters,
Over the past few days, we have all witnessed the great passion which football generates, and the deep loyalty our fans have for this great club.
You made very clear your opposition to the European Super League, and we have listened. We got it wrong, and we want to show that we can put things right.

I do feel like we’re overdue for a system where teams do more traveling to other countries to play other teams on their level.

The core issue is that it’s hard to sell games like the potential Super League teams against relegation teams in their league.

We already have that system. The core issue is that everyone has their hand out, with the Americans especially not understanding two things, what their product is and who makes it. If you are worried about the future of the game, make it easier for fans to watch what they want to watch, not restrict it like has been the case since these TV deals started.
