Which fields at bank?

pick up soccer normally just sucks in general IMO. the main problem is that there's no middle ground between being good and terrible in the pick up world. the culture of people in america that like soccer are generally poor athletically. another thing i notice is that girls are always fricking playing which i just cant deal with.
it's not like basketball where good athletes without a background in the sport are still fine to play with and dont ruin shite. you have either played and are serviceable or you are worthless in soccer. also, girls pretty much not allowed in the pick up bball world
i wish it was different, but i have just not enjoyed my pick up experiences.

I liked playing pickup with the African guys at LSU. They were good, talked lots of shite with each other, and in general had fun.

Sorry you had a shitty pickup experience. I played with all levels, and with girls, and was primarily responsible for organizing the pickup while I was at LSU. I had a great time.

yeah obviously different strokes for different folks. that's awesome that you guys had some good times with pick up.

They were funny as hell back int he 90's and occasionally we'd smoke out on the parade grounds after.

Some buddies and I played with some eastern euro guys recently. There was a tough 50/50 between one of theirs and one of ours. Tempers flared. Initally nothing happened and everyone got the two guys to chill (they were the only ones really bitching). We start playing again and the euro guy runs up behind my buddy and punches him in the back of the head.
We all run over an by this time my buddy that got punched is on his feet and pissed beyond reason. We are ready to lynch this dude and the funny thing is: so were his friends.
One of the guys they were there with grabs him and throws him to the ground and starts telling him the "sneaking" is for birches. Blah blah.
Those guys leave. We leave. Never playing with them or their ilk again.

I like playing with/against Eastern Euros. Bosnians especially. It is always physical on both sides but there is mutual respect (usually). Can't stand playing against the latin and arab nationalities that do nothing but fall down and bitch all game.

I agree, and we usually try to play with them. It wasn't the first time we had played with these specific guys either, but throwing a punch when someone isn't looking crosses the line. Hell trying to fight at all. We're all 21 or older, schoolyard bullshite is over.
