You could tell by his reaction yesterday that it was bad.
It may hurt Roma in the race for 2nd with Napoli but the CL spot is pretty much wrapped up. We're really thin in MF after the first 4. (Rodrigo Taddei came on for him yesterday to make it about as true a 4-6-0 formation as you'll ever see with even a defensive midfielder on the pitch.)
It's probably an even bigger deal for the Dutch NT in the WC though. Along with Van Prissy he's probably the most important player to their prospects.

Yeah, the price Toronto paid was so high it was hard to turn down but it was obvious that he would have been getting minutes if he had stayed.
