That's pretty sweet. You improved a lot more than me. I ran 17:28 in my freshman year of high school and got down to 16:34 on a track by junior year in high school.

In college, I could not stay healthy and only ran 16:10. I did drop a 26:47 in an 8K, so that was pretty sweet.

I've only ever attended one USMNT game, US vs Italy in Genoa, Italy, Feb, 2012.

Dude, I was also at that game! Sat on the end that Dempsey scored on. A ton of Italians surrounding me so my celebration was very muted. I have a super ghetto looking scarf from that game. The "us crest" is hilarious.

Was a fun experience. I was sitting with one other American and a bunch of other Europeans who were all students in my grad program. Italian fans near us weren't rowdy at all and didn't seem to care about the outcome all that much, which made sense since it was a friendly.

Partying in Genoa after the game was more the highlight than the game itself. I believe it was a Wednesday and I had an early class on Thursday morning. Needless to say, I didn't make it.

I have a similar record. The US men have never lost a game I've been to (10 wins, 2 draws).

The women have never won a game I went to (1 draw, 1 loss).

Fun Fact- if any of you have played at premiere soccer center in st Gabriel than you've seen me on the wall there and I've probably reffed one of your games before. However, I am not the shitty ref a poster in this thread earlier had encountered. I am only a slightly shitty ref.

I've had some pretty atrocious refereeing at the indoor center here in Shreveport. I'm not sure if small sided rec leagues are just required to have crappy refereeing or something.

John, what country/event? My sister is really good friends with a girl who got bronze as part of the us swim team. She's kind of hot but kind of crazy.

She is from Saint Lucia and competed in track. She was hot and level headed. When I saw her she reminded me of Zoe Saldana. She did tell me a crazy story, though. A priest had sex with her best friend on the church alter to help drive away her best friend's evil spirits. She chuckled, "So yes, I know some crazy people."

It's definitely required. The owner would come up to me before each game and say "you need to make both teams lives as miserable as possible"

I've never been the Keg. I don't drink and don't have much of a social life.

I've heard they have a good menu, though.
