Eales says it's good
From about a week ago but first time any numbers have been divulged.
Apparently they have made it through 18,000 of 30,000 pledges with a conversion rate over 90%. That would mean over 16,000 season tickets confirmed thus far.
Expansion record is 22K with Seattle. MLS capacity at the Bunghole is 29,322.

Atlanta United FC baby.
It's gonna be great.
Sorry, got off narrative...terrible sports town, man that's gonna be a lot of empty seats, when are Nashville and New Orleans getting a team?

I signed up a while ago for them and haven't gotten a call yet to purchase the actual season tickets. Anyone else still waiting?

So they are only going to use lower deck seating? 40 or 59 k empty seats every game?

Atlanta should be used to tarps

Yep. 100 and 200 levels only. Unless there's a smattering of 300 in the club sections.

Reach out to them because they probably attempted to contact you at this point.

The only tarp in Atlanta sports is the 400 section in Phillips. It is only used for the playoff Hawks games and huge concerts. It is a terrible view from that height and only needed for super popular events.

This. Even people I know that signed up way later than I did (by many months) have already been contacted and purchased tickets.

I signed up maybe a month or two ago and already have my seats reserved.

Will Atlanta United begin playing their at the new stadium at the start of their 2017 season, or will they play somewhere else temporarily and construction will continue?
Posted on 6/24/16 at 6:22 am to bodask42
They have said they only play home games at the new stadium.
Posted on 6/24/16 at 6:24 am to bodask42
Likely just all road matches until stadium is ready then a heavy dose of home games in the remaining 60ish% of the season. Very common MLS practice for renovations (see Toronto and SKC as recent examples).

This would be good.
Hoping for sufficient demand in season 1 so that I don't get killed on buying season tickets (I won't make a number of the games).
