Not at all surprised , but still tough to see considering he gave so much to that club not unlike adrian Heath in Orlando.

LINK

There's another one for Atlanta United to monitor., but I stilll prefer some others.

Interesting, since Bocanegra said the other day that they have their shortlist and hope to reach a decision soon.

Not surprised enter. They've been terrible every time I've watched them. Can anyone enlighten me as to why they've been so bad?

They clearly quit on Sigi. Against SKC, they couldn't even hide that they weren't trying.

I dont think they were much better the previous two seasons either. The whole gameplan was parking the bus and letting martins and clint go 2v4. Which actually worked since those dudes had crazy good chemistry. But they never struck me as a well coached team.

Lots of new faces in the squad, some strange DP signings, and Alonso aint what he used to be.

This is like the third time Sigi's been close to getting fired. No saving him this time. It's that bad.

He's too defensive-minded for my tastes, especially with all the attacking talent he's had in Seattle.

Would be pretty crazy if they could pull that off.

Did Twellman drop a bombshell here? Or is he douching out again?

why they've been so bad?

They have an enormous black hole in midfield. They are akin to an American football team playing without a QB. The Sounders are routinely dominated in midfield possession. Schmid has constantly tinkered with the lineup and formation, trying to find anything that works but to no avail. Valdez, Alonso, Ivanschitz, Roldan have all been tried in a desperate effort to find a central attacking midfielder that can maintain possession, distribute, and unlock defenses. Nothing has worked and Seattle is at the bottom of the table next to Houston.

Seattle essentially attacks through the fullbacks and wings or Dempsey comes extremely deep to take the ball and then attack from the middle of the pitch out of necessity. Long balls down the wing are routine. It is very disjointed. They appear to be on the verge of signing Lodeiro. I think they even need another creative attacking midfielder to help the offense. Seattle could be a good place for Diskerud to have another chance. The Sounders almost set an MLS record last weekend against SKC with 0 shots in a match until a defender managed a shot around the 85th minute.

Valdez, Alonso, Ivanschitz, Dempsey are all into their 30s now and playing on turf. Dempsey has been away at the Copa and missed several matches due to injury and card. Valdez and Alonso have depreciated significantly this year. The fullbacks have played poorly, Mears a little less so than Jones. Marshall and Evans have been solid at CB but have been playing desperately due to poor defense elsewhere and failure to maintain possession.

Morris is running for Rookie of the Year honors with Jack Harrison and Keegan Rosenberry but he has issues with fitness. He is often crawling in late minutes and looks like he could collapse and die at any time late in a match. Seattle is a mess right now.

He was doing this with the youth national teams as well.
