Rumor that is going around is that Arena will step down today, and Tab Ramos will be named the interim manager.

Bob did a decent enough job, but I'm not sure I want another interim manager to become our full time manager. I hope we have a legit coaching search and get someone worth a shite for the next cycle.

What is the board's thoughts on Tab. Seems like he has done a good job with the U-20's. How has he been as the youth technical director?

I hear you, and agree.

But the search wont amount to shite if Sunil Gulati is the one leading it.

Bruce, thank you for your service in 2002. I wish 2006 and 2018 worked out better.

I'll be ok with Tab through the 2018 WC. But we need to make a real hire once the post-WC fallout starts.

the problem always ultimately lies with the players on the pitch.

You should thank Brian McBride and Park Ji-sung, if not for them Arena is just a good MLS manager.

Idk. Bruce didnt have much influence. When we were down 2-0 in trinidad he was standing on the sideline with his hands in his pockets saying nothing

yeah, i'm hoping the naming of an interim coach is simply because they want the next president to be able to choose the next head coach, and elections aren't until february.

now i just need a breaking update stating that sunil gulati will not be seeking another term.

I really like Bruce. It's the right move but nonetheless makes me sad.

That's an influence in itself.

Well, it's just friendlies and working in young players. There will be more options for quality managers after the WC.

Can we get the Dutch on that friendlies schedule?

Would be a world class opponent since they didn't make it, too

In addressing the media on Friday, Gulati claimed "full responsibility" for the U.S. team's failure to reach the World Cup, but he stopped short of resignation and did not indicate one way or another whether he would run for re-election. He said he will make that decision "in the coming weeks."

Nothing will change.
