We can doubt the veracity of anonymous sources all day long, but you said it wasn't sourced. It was. You don't know for sure if a source told them that or not.

That's not a source bc there never was on.
DM is know for running made up stories like this claiming they have a "source"
Usually most publications would say a source with in the club or close to the player.

There's a difference between "no sources" and "I think their source isn't real." You said the former, now you're trying to argue the latter. My whole point is that they cited a source when you said there wasn't one.
Sure, the Daily Mail sucks. But at least have valid criticisms of them and B/R.
And, again, B/R isn't reporting this as fact. It's an aggregation machine citing a report. It's just trying to be a catch-all news outlet.
Is that how sports reporting works? I did not know that. Thanks, professor.

i think them quoting an entirely anonymous source is a valid criticism.

Can we just discus the hypothetical even if the source is probably BS?

I can't see him going to China.

Wayne Rooney has offers to go to China but is unlikely to leave Manchester United before the Chinese transfer window closes on Tuesday, Sky sources understand.
So is this a source with the player or the club? They didn't mention the connection, can it be trusted?

The difference is sky is more reliable than Daily Mail
Sky is on point
DM is known for running bullshite stories with no sources even though they claim there is one. That's why Drogba wanted to sue them.
It would be one thing if this one in a transfer rumor section but it was the top main head line article. Nothing more than click bait to generate traffic.

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has addressed speculation about his future by releasing the following statement.
“Despite the interest which has been shown from other clubs, for which I’m grateful, I want to end recent speculation and say that I am staying at Manchester United," declared the Reds' record goalscorer.
“I hope I will play a full part in helping the team in its fight for success on four fronts.
“It’s an exciting time at the club and I want to remain a part of it.”

With all the miles he has it's better he doesn't play every match.
So when it's time to play he can contribute

Oh I know. I agree the DM is trash. Just had to point out the reasoning for criticizing one didn't seem to follow through to the other.
