Time and time again he comes through in the clutch just like today vs PSG.
whether he’s on Man U, Portugal, Or Real Madrid, his level of play has stayed elite and most importantly HE WINS
Viva CR7!

Torn between making a comment about how big of a douche Penaldo is, and endorsing the OP because it'll piss off this flaming board. hmmm

Possibly the greatest cross I’ve ever seen was his vs the USA in the World Cup for Varelas goal

I love when in the comment section after they play Espanol or someone lesser all the haters say "he only scores against the scrubs"
The man is the definition of big game player

He's had a problem with that this year
But yea over the last 2-3 years he has turned the UCL into the Ronaldo invitational.

Yeah he's a solid number two player of all time.

Who are your top 5 or so players ever? I have trouble ranking them (though it is wholly unimportant).
Feels like it is some order of Messi, Ronaldo, Ronaldo, Pele, Maradona, Zidane, Cruyff, and Beckenbauer.

It's really hard to compare eras. The game was markedly different from Pele's era to Maradona's era and the game changed tremendously from even Zidane's era.
For the modern era, which I count as when the new offside rule was made in 2005, I'd suggest Messi as one, Ronaldo as two, and then it becomes significantly harder to rank. I'm partial to deep-lying playmakers, so Pirlo and Xavi would have to be ranked there. Iniesta might be in the top five, but I can't think of who else. Zlatan had a pretty incredible run, so he might be in the top six. It's hard to rank players in this era too where you can watch players more consistently. All of the potential top players have had periods where they dropped off, and no team has been as stylistically dominant as Pep's Barcelona teams, though I think the best team of this era was 2012 Bayern Munich.

Ronaldo is better than Messi right now in my opinion, not to say Messi couldn’t pass him up, but he’s won 3 of last 4 champions leagues and went back to back... he also has won Euro Cup (widely considered 2nd hardest international tourney), yes Messi did go to World Cup final but he failed to score a single goal in knockout stage. Finally ronaldo also won a champions league at Man U (the last one they ever won I might add) so he has shown he can get it done no matter where he is.
and finally Ronaldo has more goals than games played at Real Madrid, Messi does not have more goals than games played at Barcelona
