RIP Munich victims

59 years from today (posting 1.5 hours early) since the disaster on the runway. Rest in peace to those who have passed. There has been a lot of disgusting bullshite sung by LFC fans and other clubs about the tragedy, but one of our own in Sir Matt Busby was affected by this awful event. Here's to hoping that one day this vitriol garbage is abandoned for some semblance of understanding. At least on the soccer board we can offer our remembrance of those who were lost. May they rest in peace.

I went on the Old Trafford tour years ago and the part about Munich was very emotional. Definitely a tear jerker. I don't generally dislike LFC but making fun of this tragedy is as low as you can get. Disgusting really.

Accidentally clicked on the wrong board, but this caught my eye. I was family friends with one of the survivors, dennis violet. He ending up setting the man u goals scored record the following season, if memory serves right. I was 19 when he passed, so i never got to ask him about it directly, but i have seen plenty of stories on it.
