Spanish giants Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are banned from registering players for the next two transfer windows.

They have been punished by world governing body Fifa for breaching rules over the transfer of minors.

So they won't be able to take Hazard off our hands?

The ban does not cover the current transfer window, which runs until the end of this month.
hmmmm
but they'll both appeal and will likely get a shot at the summer window before they get the ban
does this affect their american in the youth system like beniesta?

Ben was at Barcelona and has already moved back to the US.

Has the rule book not been translated to Spanish? Barcelona last year, both Madrids this year all getting in trouble for the same thing.

He's our most creative player even in his current slump. Kid needs to be on the field. And we need a faster striker that doesn't flop

I'm ready to gut the entire team.

Willian can stay. I honestly can't believe matic is a professional soccer player. That blows my mind

His decline is worse than Hazard's, he's so awful. How in the world he continues to play over RLC is beyond me.

I'd like to go ahead and congratulate PSG on their appearance in the CL Quarterfinals.

good news for PSG
You guys want Hazard? I'd be willing to throw in Matic, Ivanovic and Fabregas, too.

so if any non EU kid under 18 is at a Euro youth set up, and his parents don't have legit employment.
Then its a problem
Beniesta's parents actually went out and got jobs in the area but the ban made him go home
Barca, Madrid and Atletico have been notorious for getting kids from South America and Africa in their academies under the age of 18 and moving their families over. Then hooking their parents up with some bogus jobs.
Kids with in the EU can not go to another academy until they are 16,unless they live with in 100km of the other club.
So thats why City bought up every 16 year old in Europe to build their academy. Or why Nacho couldn't even play for the u-21 or u-18 side until last year.

You're a closet city fan, aren't you?

Nah just a good example to use.
United do it, so do Arsenal and most English clubs getting 16 year olds from main land Europe.
Really with American kids could get over there at 16 or earlier and not have to wait until 18.
Only way they can is either their parents already live and work there or direct relative has an EU passport. Otherwise forget it.

The best part is that it's produced ONE player who plays every fifth match!

Here is a guide explaining what Atlético and Real Madrid can and cannot do under the constraints of the FIFA-imposed sanction.
Signing players: Atlético and Real Madrid can make signings and register players until 31 January.
Signings and loans: Fifa will not allow either club to sign players today, the date the sanction was communicated, if the plan is to loan them out to other teams and then recall them in the summer or in January 2017, as the world governing body would consider this tantamount to fraud. If Madrid wanted to sign Lewandowski or Pogba, they would have to include them in the squad with immediate effect. They could not sign either player and then loan them out to Bayern Munich or Juventus.
Loans: Both clubs can bring back players who were on loan at other clubs today, the date the transfer ban was announced. It has yet to be determined if they can loan out players now and bring them back in June. This uncertainty could affect Óliver Torres, who Atlético were thinking about shipping out during the winter transfer window. It is reasonable to expect this would be allowed, as Torres belonged to Atlético before and after the sanction came to light.
Contract renewals: These are allowed.
Selling players: This is also allowed.
Fernando Torres: The Spaniard belongs to AC Milan but has been loaned out to Atlético until 30 June, when he becomes a free agent. If Atleti want to hold onto El Niño, they will have to sign him this month and extend his contract a further season.
Morata: Real Madrid only had the option to bring him back until 31 July of this year but that is no longer the case because he is not on loan to Juventus, rather his contract contains a buyback clause for Real Madrid.
Managerial changes: These are allowed regardless of the sanction. Managers are not considered signings.
Sections: The clubs’ reserve sides cannot bring in new players, but other sections can, as is the case for the Atlético Madrid women’s team.
Reserve sides: These players can be called up to play for the first team as long as they were registered with the youth set-ups before 30 June 2016, the date the ban will come into effect.
