I know this has been attempted before and shot down. But I hope it gets more traction this time. Would love to be able to see a EPL match without having to go to Europe.

It also seems like they are trying to get every team to play in the States on one weekend. Am I reading that right? That would be an awesome weekend.

UEFA will shoot it down, assuming it even makes it that far

People here will fight this to the death.

They give zero fricks about expanding the game overseas esp to the US.

They make bank off the preseason tours but the connections people have to these teams is just something you can't explain. Losing a home match so Americans can see a match that means something won't go over well.

Maybe something like the Community shield would work just fine.

You don't think NFL fans feel the same way? Sometimes you just do it. Plus they get 19 home games justi n league play.

No

you know why?

its because the teams they make a lose home games have shitty fan bases for the most part that don't bring in major revenue.

The Cowboys, Pats, Steelers who have been here or are coming are not dropping a home game to play here.

The jags who don't fill their stadium are the ones losing a home game each year for the next few years not their opponents.

The NFL isn't dumb and won't pull a major market/huge fan bases team away from its home to play in London.

Hey LSU, we want to expand the SEC's brand awareness in Mexico, so we're putting one of your home games in Juarez.

that's how much their fans care about international brand expansion.

Saints and raiders both lost home games and I am pretty sure those fan bases were pissed.

If I wrong please tell me but does the premiere leauge care a little more about fans compared to the NFL who pretty much does what they want knowing we will still watch.

From the few years I've followed the BPL, that's the impression I've gotten. Goodell and the owners just do whatever the frick they want and don't really give 2 shits about it pissing off fans.

Neither are major market teams.

And the raiders don't fill their stadium.

yeah the thing about the EPL is that it's supposed to be fair, play each team home once and away once, and the teams losing their home games abroad will really cry foul if they get relegated by 1 point

the money for not being relegated is serious business too, not like the NFL where the Raiders can put out a team that can't beat Chalmette and still get their share of NFL TV money

Should Sunderland go play games in the states?

You walked into this one. I guess it would be no big deal if City played abroad.

Can the networks make $ off it? if yes, then maybe, if no, then forget about it

doesn't matter they are a major club

comparing EPL to NFL is apples to oranges

The reason I posted about certain NFL teams not giving up home games is valid

City is a well run club now that generates a shite ton of revenue regardless if they dont meet capacity.

While the Raiders are the exact opposite.

I know right

Like it or not they are here to stay and will be a force unless their sugar daddy leaves.

The logistics of playing a US EPL game can be a mess esp getting the larger clubs with US fan bases over here ie United, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, City. The teams with the stars that everyone wants to see. Esp with playing multiple games a week sometimes to include europe, league and two domestic cup competitions.

Anyone who follows the game or hell played FIFA knows the European soccer calendar is an ever changing dynamic and nothing is set in stone unlike the NFL.

Every clubs website with their tickets says times and dates subject to change.
