Wonder if they would have been able to score as easily if the keeper had punted the ball 3/4s way down the field instead of rolling it to a close defender who was dispossessed and then the score?
Only cost Wales a chance at the World Cup.

It was certainly very unwise for Hennessey to roll the ball to Williams near the touch line with an Irish defender pressing him so closely. Not much he could do with that, and the turnover it created cost Wales a chance to qualify in the playoff.
Always roll out the ball to keep possession when you can, but that was not the right decision in that moment, and the Welsh have paid for it dearly.

This would be cooler if literally any other human being on the field scored the goal instead of James McClean.
