Also pretty cool that it is 100% privately funded

Ugh Atlanta. Orlando City has a better name, solid branding, going to have a far better stadium.

Will definitely be among the country's nicest SSS's when it's done. How long until it's ready?

It's said to be opened in summer of 2016. I've never seen a stadium debut in the middle of a season though. It was supposed to be opened beginning of next season but I guess officials and money issues got in the way of that.

Really puts a lot of Euro stadium to shame. Would love to see a game there when it's done.

I have. It's odd, but it can work.

Sporting KC did it when they opened their stadium. First game there wasn't until early June. They played their first 10 games on the road. Toronto did something similar this season with their stadium under massive renovation, they played their first 7 games on the roam.

Then have fun playing outside in the summer.

I'll be one of AUFC's biggest supporters, but if the Gold Cup semis were instead an MLS match, there's no way I was going to sit outside and watch that. I was sweating buckets just walking across the street from the MARTA station to the stadium.

It's a little more advanced than tarps.

If they can avoid the issues BC Place has had with the big curtains, then it'll be pretty sweet.

Get a top Mexican player or two, and that place will be packed week in and week out. Trust me.

ETA: But Orlando City's is going to be the gold standard. That's incredible.
