At this point Luis Gil is on the Fredy Adu path of somehow still being qualified to play for a US youth national team, yet being exceptionally mediocre and a bit role player for his club.
Matt Miazga is already good enough for the senior team. He's been one of the best players in MLS this season and probably the best defender in the league.

Was hoping Morris would be included, but of course the group they've chosen already has chemistry from the world cup. A bit surprised that Paul Arriola was left off.

I am as well...thats the only real exclusion that surprised me though. Morris is still recovering from surgery I believe.

Green or Morris could both make the senior roster still, so we'll see. With Arriola also missing, I would've liked to have seen two of the three on this roster.
