Hendo Tweezy
any ways went to the game last night, the first half was crazy 5 fricking goals.
The environment was different more of a family type event, but still awesome our little 2nd division club has a stadium worthy to host the bund. A couple hundred Paraguay fans there probably ones who live in geramny or spain.
Özil for the most part did not impress seemed to fade away from the game for long stretches.
Once they brought on Boateng he locked that back four the frick down, dude is a boss and was a treat to see in person. Muller goal was sick.
When they brought on Boateng and Podolski everyone went nuts and got all excited, but when Mario Gomez came on well not so much, lots of boo's and whistles
Dunno how many times i heard Gomez is shite in german, even from little kids. Then that fricker tried to get all fancy in the box in extra time by doing a back heel to no one when all he had to do was turn around and shoot.
But all in all it was a treat to get to see the first team play in person

Game was going on during the USA game. I watched some of it but not enough to really give a synopsis. Jogi needs to figure out the defense or he will go down as a failure of an international coach. Boateng is definitely better than Per but Jogi is a dickbag who hates change. He was still starting Podolski over Reus even when Reus was the Bundesliga Player of the Year.

it was cool seeing fans from all over west germany getting along, but leaving the game was a cluster frick with all the out of towners having no idea how to get out.
Also looked funny seeing the ultra section have actual seats in it

Where'd they play? I didn't pay much attention to the lead up to the game or anything. I'm jealous though, sounds like a cool experience.

Didn't watch a second of it, but read all the reports. Basically said exactly what you briefed. I kind of hate Jerome, he was uber sketchy last season. He's a good enough athlete to keep around, though. Benni should've started over Per.
I think it's funny how everyone was drooling over Jogi after the 2006 WC and trashing Klinsi and well look what we have in year 2013

Pretty funny how the tables have turned. I think Jogi is a creative enough guy. He's just been the coach for way too long and has no idea how organize a defense.
It's actually a good thing for the US, though. If he had any foresight, he would have had JAB around the squad for a cupcake friendly. I don't know, maybe he's just lazy and doesn't want to try to uncover talent, but he just refuses to think outside the box with player selections.

I think he just likes chilling. His record as a club coach is pretty much garbage. I don't know what the deal is, but he needs to right the ship very quickly before he pisses away Germany's golden generation.

Like against the US, why the frick would he call up Heiko Westermann? Also, I know he's trying to get Klose the record but give Max Kruse a shot with the A team, why not call Kiessling in for a chance? You can do much worse than him with an 80th minute sub.
Let Benni Howedes get a game with Hummels. Put Herrmann or Nicolai Muller on the bench instead of Podolski. Let Draxler get a game at CAM.

I don't know what Heiko was doing in
America, I guess maybe he didn't want to call in some of the younger guys because they were prepping for the Euros. He has some vendetta against Kiessling, I don't know what it is. I'd like to see Sidney Sam get a run out or two also, he's a player to keep an eye on. His speed could prove invaluable off the bench late in a match. Still a bit raw, but Germany is so much better than a lot of the teams that they play that it wouldn't be a big deal to experiment outside of the favored 11.

Yeah, Sam is a fine player. At this point, I like Herrmann and Nic Muller better since they're more technical. Sam could be a nifty little player as a sub, his speed would kill tired defenders, this could be a huge year for him in the Bundi.

Yeah those guys are definitely better, I was just tossing out another name just to further illustrate how silly it is that Jogi relies on the same dudes every match. Podolski needs to retire or some shite, his welcome is worn the frick out.

i wish Klins would return the favor and play germany over here before the WC maybe this spring, it would be a great crowd germany vs us in little america

It's not unlikely IMO. JK seems quite obsessed with playing real teams in friendlies and I think he has sufficient pull in Germany to set it up.

Playing near any of the bases would be pretty cool. Get some Yanks in the seats.

Long shot SCH, but were you the guy sporting the FC Kaiserslautern flag after one of the Germany goals?
And yes, that team has way too much talent to wet the bed like this...

On the CB thing everything I saw about yesterday's match had Hummels at fault for the goals (aside from Khedira's blunder)
Per is just Germany's Ramsey, he's slow and therefore must be bad.
