Because, in a lot of ways, the club game is a lot better than the international game

Liverpool is the hipster pick in the states, while scousers are nothing close to that

Real hipsters wouldn't pick a perennial power, much less one with 5 European cups

Almost as bad as the wannabee hipsters rooting for Dortmund like it's some kind of underdog club (although, to my delight, they may be heading down that path soon)

At this point it's almost hipster to pick ManU in a way

Don't let anyone tell you who to cheer for. I get a lot of crap for being a City fan, but I've liked them since before Mansour because they're colors were the same as the school I went to, random, but it's just how it works sometimes.

I would say just watch some matches and go with whoever you feel a click with. I'll give people crap for who they like, but honestly, I could care less. It's just a relief to speak to people who are somewhat knowledgeable on the subject.

Just don't be like my good friend whose been an Arsenal fan for almost a eight years and then when they switch to Puma for their kits he just starts rooting for City. Don't get me wrong, I think Arsenal's kits are pure garbage and I would go into depression if City went back to Umbro or anything else, but if you pick one just don't hop around. If you start watching every week it becomes an obsession.

1.Borussia Dortmund (Reus is my favorite player)
2.Bayern
3.PSG
4.Seattle
Then of course the USA national team games.

But if there is a player that I like on a team I'll watch it, but otherwise just those 4.

I get that. And I agree. As far as entertainment value and quality of play, club soccer > international soccer easy. What I was saying is the only team, club or country, that I show any real allegiance to is the USMNT. But I invest way more time and get way more enjoyment out of watching club soccer at the highest levels.

I see nothing wrong with that. And why do you care who someone chooses to root for?

Some people, like me, for instance, prefer to watch sports played at the highest levels. All the teams you mentioned usually provide that.

Everton actually seemed like the really trendy pick prior to this season on a lot of social media. Seemed like lots of people thought they could find an up and coming side that they wouldn't be called "a bandwagoner" for supporting.

It definitely was among people I know. Of course, out of about the 5 people who adopted Everton, only 1-2 are still tuned in.

One of my good friends is from Louisville, Kentucky and his teams are the Detroit Tigers, New York Giants and Kentucky Wildcats.....we all hate him when it comes to sports.
