3-0

The top 2 spenders in MLS have just been eliminated in the knockout rounds. The next 2, NYCFC and Orlando, failed to qualify.

Meanwhile the Red Bulls have spent the least in salary this year and won the Supporters Shield.

Is this bad management by the top clubs in salary, or should we be heaping praise on the Red Bulls management?

Happens in every sport. Don't know if you can use the excuse but a lot of new players for those teams maybe after a year they will have a better feel of each other. Nycfc will be a playoff team next year. Ocsc needs a pick up.

OCSC has a nice spine of Larin, kaka and Collins at CB with Tally Hall in goal. They need to complete the spine by signing a first team worthy defensive mid.

Toronto may have the worst goalkeeper I have ever seen. And I have been watching him all year.

They get a pass. New teams. Spent a bit to get a team established.

LA is a surprise. I figured Toronto would blow it.

Agreed. I think the biggest surprise for me was the Red Bulls. Seemed like they were doomed to fail dumping talent and the coach. Sasha has been great this season and deserves another shot with USMNT

Losing Molino really hurt OCSC. He was just starting to click when he went down.

Sasha looks like a new man, definitely would like to see him get another look at the no. 10 position for USMNT.
Also, Jesse marsch, coach of NYRB, has to be coach of the year. He's been incredible, he's installed a very effective, attractive high pressing system that scores goals.

Sacha has been great and I would love to see him get a look with the USMNT but not at left wing. I doubt it happens though.

He is one of the most technically accomplished American players, his movement off the ball is brilliant as well, he is a smart creative player, and he has settled into the No. 10 role very well.

Yet I fully expect Jurgy to keep hammering a square Bradley into that round hole.

Sacha, Benny, Darlington all deserve chances at that position. Oh well.

I don't understand how their defenders are considered 'professionals'.

I was suprised when LAX didnt make it.

TFC is lol really. Much talent and no where fast.

Impact played in CCL and fell behind in the table early... but adding Drogba paid off huge down the stretch.

My two teams are in it still DC and WFC

lets go Caps!
